Hello Apple. Remember me? I’m one of your loyal users. I’m one of the guys who has owned 2 MacPros, a G5, a G4, 4 laptops, one iMac, 4 iPods, one MacMini, 4 iPhones and a bevy of other peripherals and software packages over the last 10 years. I’m looking for a little clarity. Can you please let me and the other people on in this group know what is going on with the MacPro? Its been neglected for far too long. We realize all the success of the iPad and iPhone and we’re really happy with our new toys. But unfortunately many of us need to make decisions on hardware for professional uses that allow us to make a living. —
How could you not answer such a polite plead? Come on Apple.
The “old school” indies will shake their heads and talk about how they make art and that you can’t compare the two - an indie film in a theater is different than some 4 minute video. They won’t know where to begin in building that kind of audience, or that kind of career.
Someone else came along and built it under their noses, and now none of that audience will care about the difference between RocketLaunch and Sundance. In fact, they’ll probably think of Sundance as something like the Metropolitan Opera - a place you go to see a wonderful artform that you know you should respect, but that no one cares about anymore and which very few can afford to make or attend.

Why NOT put every unordered pilot online? People worked hard on those episodes, doesn’t their hard work deserve an audience? I think it would also be fascinating to see what didn’t get ordered, sort of like playing “Fantasy Network Executive. —
The Bitter Script Reader: Why not put failed pilots on iTunes?
Yes! But having the audience second guess the execs probably scares some folks to death. Yes!

It’s 2012, all media is social – so let’s just go ahead and stop pretending like “Social Media” means anything and start describing sites and services and applications by what makes them unique and different rather than the one thing that makes them all the same. —
Can we please stop calling things Social Media? » sbdc
Amen to the Media formerly known as Social.
Ok, festivals - @thestoryofluke is on its way! Fingers crossed! (Taken with instagram)
Filmmakers, film execs, and film lovers: pay close attention. This is where the film, video, and television business is going. … Our Edison is Steve Jobs, our Chaplin is Louis CK, our multiplex is VHX, and our Warner Brothers is Kickstarter. I hope you can be our Hitchcock, our Curtiz, our Méliès, or our Griffith. —
Right on.
